How can i hatch eggs with a heat lamp?

Well, I've never hatched pheasant eggs, but I would guess that you can, cause i had a small incubator that could only hold two duck eggs, and I put a whole bunch in a box with a light. So the ones in the incubator died. I got a bigger incubator so I could put more in, and then I candled the ones in the box (not expecting to see anything), and found three alive. So I put them in the bigger incubator, one of the ones that started out in the box hatched just this morning.
