Is being overly Sensitive a bad thing?

Well I know I am a sensitive person. When something I don't like being said to me is said I get intolerant and really upset in my mind but I don't really show it. When people always make comments about things I do, I don't like it and I feel my space is limited. Also, I wouldn't let my moms see this guy's myspace b/c i said i wouldn't. I told her there was nothing on it but a background and his friends & etc. She looked at it and saw everything on his page. I was pretty damn annoyed I can't stand my space being ravaged. I know if i try to talk to her, he will be argumentive! Idk what to do and my sensitivity makes or brakes what I really want to say.
