What is wrong with NSW selectors?

Some of the selection decisions this series, like many in the past, have left me scratching my head. I mean the Sharks have been hopeless all season and they string together a couple of wins and all of a sudden Barret's returning to origin! What about Soward? he has been on fire all season long. And surely Cooper is better than Monaghan. Not to mention El Masri, arguably the best winger the game has seen. One has to wonder whether the selectors are racist? I don't think the maroons players are that much better than the blues they just know how to pick the right team.
