Do you think this is fair? (about WoW and the blue proto drake)?

ok so me and my group (unfortunatly it was a pug) downed the gauntlet in UP and what do ya know the blue proto drake FINALLY dropped. so of course we all roll need, but....the guy who won it cant use it yet! and everyone else could have. I know that someday he can but by the time he makes enough and gets his training he could have run it and gotten the drop again. so my question to u is...do you think its fair that he rolled on it when he cant use it?
